I wanted to share something deeply personal with you today, as someone who’s been part of my journey.
A few years ago, I made the bold (and slightly terrifying) decision to leave behind everything safe and secure to chase a dream: to live in deeper connection with nature. I arrived in Costa Rica during the chaos of the pandemic—without a job, without money, and honestly, without a clear plan. All I had was a vision of rainforest mornings, jungle calls, and a heart full of hope.
The challenges I faced were unlike anything I could have imagined. There were moments of doubt, fear, and exhaustion. But as I reflect on those times, I realize they were the moments that shaped me the most. Those challenges pushed me to grow in ways I never thought possible. They stripped away old patterns, forced me to confront my fears, and made me connect with myself on a profound and deeper level.
Today, I feel like a new person. My essence is still the same—my unwavering love for nature and the small, wondrous creatures that inhabit it—but I’ve changed in ways that are hard to put into words. I’ve learned to listen more closely to myself, to recognize the areas where I still need to grow, and to embrace the ongoing journey of healing.
This personal transformation has been as wild and beautiful as the rainforests I now call home. It’s taught me resilience, gratitude, and the incredible power of stepping outside our comfort zones. It’s also deepened my mission—to inspire others to see and protect the beauty of this world, one tiny arthropod, amphibian, or patch of moss at a time.
And now, the next chapter is calling. I’m about to move again, to a different area of Costa Rica. It feels a bit like starting over—new surroundings, new challenges, and new growth opportunities. Change always carries both excitement and uncertainty, but I’ve learned to welcome it as a teacher.
This move isn’t just about logistics; it’s a continuation of the journey I began when I first stepped into the unknown. Every step has brought me closer to a life aligned with my heart, and every challenge has strengthened my connection to myself and my purpose.
If there’s one thing I’ve come to understand, it’s that growth and healing are lifelong processes. They require courage, patience, and a willingness to embrace the unknown. But they also bring a sense of freedom and fulfillment that’s worth every bit of the struggle.
Thank you for being part of this adventure with me. Whether you’ve taken one of my courses, followed my photography, or simply supported my work from afar, you’ve been part of this dream come to life.
I can’t wait to share stories, photos, and reflections from this new chapter. Until then, let’s embrace the beauty of change and the power of growth together.
With gratitude and wild enthusiasm,
